We help families experiencing poverty.

This may be due to a number of reasons:

• Financial difficulties
• Domestic abuse
• War displacement
• Homelessness or living in temporary accommodation
• Emergency foster placements,
• Asylum seekers with no recourse to public funds / newly arrived in the UK
• Victims of human trafficking/sexual exploitation

Based in Heckmondwike town centre, our service covers the whole of Kirklees, which is a metropolitan borough set in the heart of West Yorkshire.  A report by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation found that a staggering 34% of children are living in poverty in Kirklees. The third highest child poverty rate in the whole of Yorkshire and the Humber.

Each month, we see the need for our vital service increasing and more professionals relying on us to help vulnerable families. It is our intention to keep on growing and expanding to keep up with the demand.
